Our Lady of Frechou, Mother of Mercy and Mother of the Church.

“I weep over the Church, over France and over the World,” Our Lady entrusted to her dear confidant, His Excellency Bishop Jean Marie, on June 10, 1977.
The events that we are experiencing in this troubled age have provided a clear explanation to the statement.
When reading these pages, we assess the continuous tenderness with which the Virgin Immaculate, for over 40 years, has come and visited with us, to warn us and urge us to conversion, if we truly desire peace and if we want to save the youth. But have we seriously listened to this Good Mother?
Have we reached our hand out to the poor, have we taken care of our elderly persons, have we respected the so precious life that God has given us, have we protected God’s creation and have we resumed prayer, with Rosary beads in our hand? Incredulous that we are, minds slow to believe, we have fallen asleep into a certain comfort, letting ourselves be lulled by a superficial, material contentment, and most of all, allowing ourselves to be distracted from the way traced by the Fathers of the Church.
We have turned our backs to the true doctrine, to espouse all kinds of novelties, we have banned from our schools what had made the richness of our parents, we have allowed Good and Evil to become intermingled; paying so little attention to the reiterated warnings from our Heavenly Mother.
And what can be said in view of our churches, convents and seminaries, being shut down? To quote the very words of the Most Blessed Virgin: “The bad days are coming, hatred has more and more settled into the homes, into parishes and into countries...”

Dear friends, it is more than high time to return to the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, and return to Jesus Christ, true God and true man. Even though the picture that revealed itself before our eyes is very dark, all hope is allowed, for through prayer made with trust, we can obtain all things from the so Merciful, Sacred Heart of Jesus. The Savior’s Mercy is infinite.
Let us not forget that the Mother of God intercedes unceasingly for us, before the throne of the Most Holy Trinity. Let us walk as children of Light, let us not be afraid to testify to our faith, “Let us not fear the Cross, for Jesus has carried it for us; let us not fear death, for Jesus has gloriously defeated it for us.”
Finally, let us be grateful towards the Most Holy Trinity, they Who were kind enough to allow She who is “Fair as the moon, bright as the sun and terrible as an army set in battle array before its camp” to come and pay us visits, and deign to entrust Her Messages to Her humble confidant, His Excellency Bishop Jean Marie.
Let us be faithful to this good shepherd, who dedicates himself untiringly for his sheep, with boundless kindness, and who keeps standing, holding the torch high in his hand, to show us the way to Eternal Life. And may God bless the United States of America, because we are confident that from this large, beautiful country will come the Spiritual Renewal for which everyone hopes.
